On your first day, visit the government buildings to get an idea about the administrative capacity of Myanmar. Drive through the broad road leading down to the massive Parliament building. Although you may not be allowed inside the parliament building, you can stop on the road and take pictures of this impressive building. Next, head to the Defence Services Museum and know about the history and the present scenario of Myanmar’s military forces. After lunch, head to the national landmark garden to see miniature replicas of the landmarks of Myanmar. In the evening, visit the water fountain garden to enjoy the lovely spectre of water fountains set on scenic lakes.
Today, drive out of Nay Pyi Taw and visit the Nga Laik Kan Thar Eco Resort. You can spend the day amidst nature, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. After lunch, head to the Nay Pyi Taw Hot Spring, a scenic hot spring located not far away from the city. Return to the city in the evening. You can take a walk down the spacious roads and enjoy the carefully maintained landscapes.
Myanmar is famous for its precious gems and you will be able to get a glimpse of the same when you visit Nay Pyi Taw. Visit the Gems Museum today and spend a considerable time marvelling at the exhibits here. Next, you can visit the Nay Pyi Taw Zoological garden where you can see a wide variety of animal species. If you are travelling with kids, they will love spending their time here. In the evening, visit the Myoma Market to get a completely different kind of shopping experience.
