Kalaw in Myanmar

HOW TO GET THERE
- It is easily accessible by plane from Yangon, bagan or Mandalay to Heho airport and you can get from there to Kalaw by bus services. And Daily bus services are available from Yangon, Mandalay .
Nat Ma Taung( Mt.Victoria) at Chin State
History and Background
The next famous one for trekking is Nat Ma Taung( Mt.Victoria) at Chin State. Mount Victoris offers awesome views of the entire state and is a great place for bird-watching and rhododendrons flourish in the hills in November, December and February for cooler weather,the best season for trekking also.It takes about 5 hours to climb up and down Nat Ma Taung. Make your way to the top and catch a wide view of the surrounding woodlands.
HOW TO GET THERE
- You can get Southern Chin State by bus or minivan from Bagan or Pakokku and also a flight to Kalay , Sagaing Region. Daily Flight from Yangon or Mandalay to Kalay is available and you can arrive at Hakha, Falam or Tiddim in Chin Hills by bus or jeep.
Hsipaw to Palaung village (Pan Kam)
History and Background
Another prominent trekking path is Hsipaw to Palaung village (Pan Kam). It takes only 4 hours to arrive this village and you need to stay nightlong in there. During this trip, you have to go through the splendid Goteik Viaduct, one of dominent figure in Myanmar. You will be more convenient for this route with the help of guide so that you could get the sight of spectacular views of mountain scenery and fall in love with local traditional refreshments , organic food for lunch or dinner and shan food dishes.
HOW TO GET THERE
- There are daily train services from Mandalay to Lashio, which pass through Hsipaw and the daily buses from Lashio to Yagon stop at Hsipaw. Bus services are also available from Pyin Oo Lwin to Hsipaw.
